"Go into all the world and preach the gospel" What is our target of our mission support?
- Career Assembly of God Missionaries - Foreign Missionaries who are around the world
- Career Assembly of God Home Missionaries that are stateside
- Assembly of God Bible Schools and Universities stateside and around the world that train ministers and missionaries
- Auxiliary Ministries for special needs such as: food and clothing pantry, orphanages, hospitals, pregnancy centers, drug rehabilitation centers, missionaries vehicles and equipment, missions outreach literature, Illinois District of the Assemblies of God projects
- Church Planting for the sake of raising up new churches and congregations to reach the unchurched
- Special Projects: Relief Funds, Short Term Mission assignments, Missionary Projects, Bible projects

When does Evangel place special focus on Missions?
- Every third Sunday of each month, a special focus on missions is included within our services. Guest missionaries, prayer focus, faith promise giving and offerings are a part of these special services throughout the year.
- Our Spring Missions Convention in the month of May brings extra focus on World Missions. Special mission themes, worship, and special mission guests lead our convention as we focus on the Great Commission. Our Evangel Church Family is encouraged during this time to pray and determine their individual Faith Promise for the next six months.
- Our Fall Missions Convention in the month of November brings the exclamation point of focus on Missions for the end of the year. Mission guests lead us into our missions theme. We once again encourage our Evangel Family to pray and determine their individual Faith Promise for the next six months. We also join together with a wonderful time of fellowship at our Missions Banquet as we "Celebrate Thanksgiving with the Lord of the Harvest.
- Each month monies from our Faith Promises and our offerings are sent around the world to support the cause of missions!
Who do we support in regards to missionaries?
- Illinois Assembly of God missionaries are our primary focus of career support. These missionaries have been sent out from a geographical location near Evangel Church.
- We do not limit ourselves to the support of only Illinois missionaries, but other missionaries representing other geographical regions that have accountability and relational ties to our church are also eligible to be supported by the Evangel Family.
- Due to our strength, stewardship and excellent accountability of our Assembly of God World Missions Movement, we feel very confident about supporting our A/G Missions Family.

Where does Evangel send financial support?
- Our strategy is to send our gifts to the major regions of the continents of the world literally all over the world!

- 2 Billion have yet to hear the Gospel!
What does Assembly of God World Missions look like in a glance?
- 1998 appointed missionaries, 586 missionary associates,1,500 missionary children
- Missionaries in 212 countries and territories work with over 230,000 national pastors
- Missionaries in 6 geographical regions: Africa, Asia Pacific, Eurasia, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Northern Asia
- 57% of our missionary force is women.
- The worldwide AG Fellowship now numbers more than 52 million members and adherents with over 275,000 churches and preaching points.

What means of collecting funds does the Evangel Family use to support the mission plan of the church?
- Faith Promises
- Special offerings
- Individual donations
What is a Faith Promise?
- A Faith Promise is a commitment between an individual and God as to how much he/she will give to World Missions as God provides.
- We encourage our Church Family to make a Faith Promise every six months.
- Evangel's view of a Faith Promise is strictly between God and the person making the commitment. We do not pressure or pursue people after the promise is made but simply pray for individuals to be blessed as they trust God to give to missions.
- "For I testify that according to their ability, and beyond their ability, they gave of their own accord," 2 Corinthians 8:3 (NASV)
- "Each one must do as he has made up his mind! 2 Corinthians 9:7 (RSV)
What are some of the types of giving that exists in people's mindsets?
- Care Giving - One gives only when emotionally moved to do so
- Casual Giving - One who seldom fails to give but only amounts so small that little effort is required
- Committed Giving - One who takes seriously their responsibility to help evangelize the world
What type of mission trips will Evangel teams be taking?
- Stateside and International trips
- Evangelism trips
- Church Building Construction and Evangelism trips
- Medical and Pharmaceutical Evangelism trips
- Bible and Literature Distribution trips
How does our Evangel Family reflect the Church that wants to reach the world?
The Evangel Family has a wonderful reflection of what missions around the world is all about. Our congregation represents "what Heaven will look like" with people from every nation, tribe and tongue that have confessed Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Evangel Church is "Where the World Becomes Family" as 30 nations of the world worship together as a part of our growing community.

How can you get involved with the Missions plan of Evangel?
- Pray for our missionaries (see our prayer strategy for missions)
- Participate in our Missions Conventions.
- Begin praying for nations of the world and their salvation.
- Collect missionary prayer cards and post them for prayer in your home.
- Read 2 Corinthians chapters 8 and 9 and pray for a giving spirit.
- Ask God what faith promise you should make for the next 6 months.
- Ask God to help you become a giver and begin your monthly Faith Promise.
- Go on a missions trip with one of our teams.
- Serve with our Missions Committee.
- Respect and cheer when anyone says the words "Missionary" or "Missions"

What does the world population look like in regards to the need of missions?
- About 33% of the world's people are Christians, at least in name, American missions statistician David Barrett says.
- The Global Evangelization Movement said that 2,015,743,000 of the Earth's 6,091,351,000 people believe in some form of Christianity.
- Church members total 1.898 billion, and 1.3 billion attend services.
- Pentecostal and charismatic Christianity is growing fastest; 482 million belong to such movements and 680 million can be described as "Great Commission Christians."

Until All Have Heard
In the next 365 days, 2.4 million Americans will die and most of them will go into a Christless eternity.
In the next 365 days, 54 million people will die in the world and most of them will go into eternity without Christ.
Is anybody going to be in heaven because of you?
